Privacy Policy

Visitors

You can read the whole archive without an account. We do not try to identify anonymous visitors — no fingerprinting and no hidden data capture. We only see aggregate visit counts.

What members give us

• A username, shown publicly next to your edits.
• Your email address, kept private.
• Optionally, your full name and phone number, kept private. You can edit or clear these at any time on your profile page.

Why

To run your account, credit your community edits, and occasionally contact members about the site. Email, name and phone are visible only to you and the site owner — never shown publicly.

Journals and memories

Entries you write in My History — your journal and your "Where were you?" memories — are private by default and visible only to you. Not even the site owner can read them. They are shared with other signed-in members (with your username only) only if you choose "Share with members" on that entry, and you can change that or delete the entry at any time. Journal content is never included in the members list or its export.

We don't sell it

Your information is never sold or shared with advertisers.

Deleting your data

To have your account and details deleted, email brendan@allofhumanhistory.com from the address you signed up with and ask for deletion. Your edits stay in the public history, credited to your username.
